Winemaker Notes:
Dark ruby-purple in color with beautiful, dominant aromatics of black currant, black plum, violets, and gravel with nuances of smoldering incense, allspice, and wild mint. Rich and savory on the palate with notes of black currant, black cherry, black plum, espresso, gravel, and gentle overtones of bell pepper, violets, and eucalyptus. The wine is more "Old World" in style, showing finesse and elegance over fruit ripeness and power. There is a lovely tension between the acidity and tannins that carries through into the long finish. This wine should reach maturity in 6-8 years, and properly cellared, this wine will gracefully evolve for 10+ years.

A blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, the aromas offer notes of nori, fresh tobacco, green pepper, cherry, raspberry and bittersweet chocolate.
